Protecting and restoring forests is an effective way to sequester CO2 from the atmosphere, to meet the challenge of climate change and at the same time promote biodiversity and benefits to society.

Therefore SoniQServices plants one tree a month for each employee.

Project Description

With the planting in November 2021, a one-hectare area of former wasteland was replanted with trees suitable for the site. After a site survey, red alder was selected as the tree species for the wetter parts of the area and larch for the drier areas. In the coming years, these two tree species will ensure that the temperature, wind and frost extremes on the area are mitigated and that other tree species can establish themselves through natural regeneration or further planting or sowing. The area is PEFC-certified and thus meets standards that take ecological, social and economic aspects into account. Overall, this measure could not take place without our financial support.
